Michelle Tong Zhou 周彤
Michelle is an award-winning director, writer, and producer. Her feature screenplay Under The Snow was selected by the Sundance Screenwriters Lab semi-final for consideration in 2020.
She wrote and will be directing one of the six episodes of Her Own Choice, an original anthology series, which was developed and produced by HBO Asia and Infinitus Films Hong Kong (executive producer Esther Koo).
She was also one of the executive producers on the film Zoe (a Ridley Scott production), which was directed by Drake Doremus and starring Ewan McGregor and Lea Seydoux. ZOE was released in 2018 worldwide.
She directed the B unit on a Tencent web series Catch Me 2022 DEC, starring Songwen ZHANG and Anna YAO. It was released 2024 Feb.
Big Little Thing is her debut feature film. The story is based on her real-life events.
Zhouchunyu Yu 余周春雨
Chun is an independent director, screenwriter, and photographer with a BA in Film Studies from Chapman University.
Her first short film, Standard Temperature, was selected for the Toronto International Women Film Festival, Prague International Indie Film Festival, Bucharest Film Awards, and Italy Short Days. She was nominated for Best First-Time Director at the 2021 Los Angeles Indie Short Fest, and the film had its world premiere at the Cyprus International Film Festival.
Her screenplay Tender Passenger won the Best Award from the China Film Foundation Wutianming Film Fund for Young Talents in 2022. She directed the Vogue short First Light, starring Kara Wai and Ma Sichun, and her first feature film, Imaginary Moment, is currently in early development.
Chun is also passionate about photography. She published the street photography book The One Who Was Not Accompanying You and spent years documenting construction workers’ lives, as well as capturing commercial photos of significant architectural structures. She has established a notable collaboration with Gee Design, a leading Chinese architectural firm specializing in human settlement design.
